ANNUAL ART COMPETITION
HICAP-UK through its project PATH-NEPAL run an annual Art competition in several schools in the District of Lamjung. Every year we receive an overwhelming response to this competition.
We arrange the competition by visiting the area in October/November and taking the materials to each school.
The drawings are collected between March and April and sent to the UK to be judged by a professional artist Barbara Freeman. Barbara has been so meticulous with the judging and we thank her for being available to us. I share with you her words after judging their work in 2010
It is through art that we find our emotional and spiritual response to our lives, our dreams our past and our future and the place in which we live. The children have responded so well to this they have found a sense of pride
