Hi All
Hi-Cap UK are striving to make a difference to families in the remote area of the Lamjung district. As you all know there has been seriously destructive weather conditions that are still continuing. September is normally a trekking time in the area but the weather is so bad that there are more and more landslides and the families are struggling for survival. I spoke with our project manager today there is little connectivity but he has been able to contact some people near the area, they say that urgent help is needed. While people lose there homes and children struggle in the flooded roads to school, and the schools prepare for the worst and struggle to continue with some basic education. We sit in our safe homes and complain about our internet connections not being fast enough. We complain about GCSE exam results and children not always having a laptop available. I know it is all relative but just imagine if your were born in the remote Nepali regions the misery of having no electricity and wet houses, no washing facilities, contaminated water. I have lived in these conditions and it is no joke, I can assure you. There are some people that say “well they are happy aren’t they why should we try to improve their lives” I say because they deserve a chance their children deserve a chance to live a better existence, you can help. Hi-Cap UK needs promotion to help these forgotten Himalayan families.
